Invest in the future of Planet Earth

Replanting our global forests isĀ our cheapest and best defence against climate change.

Forests are the lungs of the Earth, inhaling carbon from the atmosphere that they store in their wood and exhaling fresh oxygen for us to breathe clean air.

You can become carbon neutral by making lifestyle changes that reduce energy usage and by balancing your remaining emissions by purchasing a carbon offset.

We all know that climate change is a serious problem that threatens our future, caused primarily by the carbon dioxide released from burning fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas. But there are things we can do about it — like choosing to go carbon neutral.

Going carbon neutral is an easy way to take responsibility for the greenhouse gas emissions we create every time we drive our cars, take a plane, or turn on our computers. It’s based on the principle that, since climate change is a global problem, an emission reduction made elsewhere has the same positive effect as one made locally.

Here’s how it works: if you add polluting emissions to the atmosphere, you can effectively subtract them by purchasing carbon offsets. Carbon offsets are simply credits for emission reductions achieved by projects such as wind farms, solar installations, or reforestation projects. You can purchase these credits and apply them to your own emissions to reduce your net climate impact.

To solve the problem of climate change, we all need to take account of our personal carbon emissions and make continued efforts to reduce them ourselves. But it is impossible to reduce our carbon emissions to zero, no matter how hard we try. Going carbon neutral by purchasing carbon offsets is a practical and affordable way to do something about those remaining emissions.

Why Plant Trees?

Every living thing on earth is made up of four basic elements — carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. They make up about 96 percent of your body, and they make up most of a tree's roots, trunk, branches and leaves as well. We get our carbon by eating it through our mouths. Trees, on the other hand, breathe it in the way that we breathe in oxygen. When a tree breaths, it inhales carbon dioxide and exhales oxygen —  the exact opposite of what humans do. This natural process helps to clean the air.

When you plant trees, you are directly cleaning the air. As a tree matures, it can consume 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year as it turns that CO2 into parts of itself. It also releases enough oxygen to supply your needs for two years. These two effects help to give the earth a healthier climate.

Rewilding Madagascar

We don't just plant trees, we participate in "rewilding" the local ecosystem by employing locals to protect their environment and replant native species to maximize biodiversity.

Our current rewilding project is in Madagascar. Madagascar is more than just an island from an animated movie. It’s a nation with over 200,000 species of plants and animals that don’t exist anywhere else in the world. But more than 90% of Madagascar’s original forests have been destroyed, displacing entire animal species and taking away the Malagasy’s ability to farm and live on the land. Entire mangrove estuaries are gone, leaving the bare earth to wash away into the sea.

Mangrove forests are essential ecosystems whose dense roots serve as an anchor for the soil and coastline preventing erosion and creating a barrier between harsh ocean systems and land.

What Makes Us Different?

Every year 6 billion trees are lost. We are building a scalable model that is capable of reversing this massive loss of biodiversity.

1. Transparency

We provide you with quarterly reports that include photos and video stories of the local people in Madagascar who are planting your trees and rewilding their local ecosystems.

2. A Bigger Impact

Many organizations have huge administration. We don't. Apart from our online ad cost to reach people, all our other expenses are funded by our ecotourism adventures and online programs. Your money goes directly to our reforestation partners in Madagascar.

3. Disruptive Innovation

We are investing in more scalable emerging technologies such as tree planting drones and artificial intelligence systems to optimize reforestation projects to maximize the value you get for your contribution.

4. Ecosystem Rewilding

By planting mangrove trees, which offer the biggest impact of nearly all trees in terms of reducing carbon in the atmosphere, and employing locals to rewild their ecosystem we can empower them to live healthier and more prosperous lives.

Rewilding Subscriptions

Choose a monthly subscription option to purchase carbon offsets that result in planting enough trees to neutralize your carbon footprint.

Become carbon neutral. We plant mangrove trees on your behalf in Madagascar to maximize the benefits of your contribution.

Become carbon neutral but also contribute to reversing climate change by doubling the trees planted on your behalf.

Neutralize your family's carbon footprint and contribute to a better world for your children.
